Thirty welder-artists take over the quays of the trading port to search among heaps of scrap metal for materials useful for the design and creation of unusual sculptures... In 2011 the theme is "The New Realism". Following the example of César, Tinguely and Arman, the welder-artists will be required to produce a work making reference to this major art movement, a sculpture anchored in reality, remote form any dreamlike or fantastic vision.
