• RACING COMPANY
Since the turn of the last century, each year the Société des Courses de Granville et du Pays Granvillais, organizes 6 meets that take place in June, July and August. About fifty races are run each year and two major events are proposed to the public:
- Grand Cross (René Couëtil Prize) over 5,200 meters with no less than 28 obstacles
- Grand Steeple Chase (Casino de Granville Prize) over 4,300 meters run August 15th each year. For 2010, the racing company, along with the city of Granville, is planning to embellish its race course with flowers, opening to the public and special events. The horses too will benefit from this embellishment with renovated race courses and redesigned obstacles.
